It powers a smoother swapping experience on EVM networks, unlocking more advanced functionality over time. *The router is currently undergoing a phased roll-out and will become available on all supported networks in the future.* ### **How It Works** Historically, Oku route optimization was handled offchain, with the final transaction executed through the aggregator contract supplying the best route. A user's swap could be sent to any one of many different router contracts depending on where the best price was found. The Oku Router moves this routing onchain. Swaps are directed to the most efficient route through a single contract, which both streamlines execution and lays the groundwork for more advanced swap functionality going forward. *This feature applies to same-chain Swap transactions only. Bridge transactions are not routed through the Oku Router.* ### **Unifying Approvals** Without the Oku Router, a user can be responsible for granting token approvals to 14 or more separate swap router contracts on each chain. With the Oku Router, a single approval to the router contract is all that's needed. Once fully live across Oku's supported networks, this drastically reduces the number of wallet signatures required to swap, removing a major point of friction. ### **Deployed Networks** The Oku Router is currently live on World. The same contract powers swaps on both the [Oku Mini App](/home/mini-app.md) on World and the main Oku app on Worldchain.
