Email Wallets

Thanks to WalletConnect and Magic, users can now quickly and seamlessly create wallets on Oku using just their email.

After clicking "Connect Wallet" on the top right of the page, the WalletConnect modal will appear with an "Email" input at the top. Enter your email to receive a Magic link directly to your inbox. After confirming your email, your new wallet is created!

To log into this email at a later date, just simply re-enter your email and confirm the Magic link.

At any point, end-users who create an email wallet can decide to transition to a self-custody wallet via WalletConnect's graduation site, meaning they will still own the same wallet address, but now fully managed by the end-user.
